EXAMPLE RESEARCH TOPICS

DARK TRIAD / DARK TETRAD
The Dark Triad and Dark Tetrad refer to a cluster of personality traits associated with interpersonal harm. These traits include Machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy, and sadism. We study what makes these traits unique in terms of their cognition, behavior, and overall impact on others
HUMAN QUANTIFICATION THEORY
HQT is a theoretical framework designed to explain what happens when we assign a person a meaningful number.

INCENTIVE SALIENCE
Behavioral models of reward have long known that there are conditional and unconditional stimuli with respect to reinforcement. Although some individuals are incentivized primarily by the reward that is paired with a reward cue, others are motivated to engage with the cue itself. We discuss the ramifications for this in the business literature with respect to turnover and restlessness at work.
MIMICRY DECEPTION THEORY
Mimicry Deception Theory is a model that argues there are four main components of long-term deception: Complexity, integration, slow extraction, and low detectability. Our research applies this deception framework to answer questions about betrayal, espionage, fraud, and predatory behavior.
